It was a fun and crazy party. What do expect when you put 11 little boys together in one little backyard for a birthday party? I think the boys had a lot of fun, though. We had a Dino Dig where the kids dug in a kiddy pool full of sand for dinosaur skeletons and eggs filled with treats. We also played pin the horn on the triceratops, hot dinosaur egg, and broke a T-rex piƱata. What fun! We also had a pretty awesome cake except I should have taken a picture right when I was done because later the head fell forward and the icing started sliding down the sides. I guess it was a little too warm.
I found this invitation idea while blog surfing. They turned out so cute.

wow! can I just hire you to come do Pete's party? This is amazing!
The party looks like it was a hit. What an awesome cake and fun games.
My friends are amazing. I bet that cake took a little time--glad you got pictures! It has been great weather for a party.
Glad you posted about the party - Dylanasaurus had so much fun! You did a great job on such a cute party!
Happy Birthday Porter!! I can't believe how fast he is growing. The cake looks great. I hope that I can throw fun parties like you and Hannah do once Addison is old enough.
Happy Birthday Porter! Meg, I love the cake and the invitations. So cute. Did you do the cake yourself? It is great. I also like the idea of the dig.
I did do the cake myself. See http://www.instructables.com/id/3d-Dinosaur-Birthday-Cake/
The things that I would do different is make the cake and frosting from scratch. The store bought cake mix was too moist so the head could not support the weight of the frosting. I guess you could also try adding extra flour. The store bought frosting was too soft so it started sliding down the sides.
