Disney's Hollywood Studios

These blog entries take me FOREVER, so instead doing one big entry about our vacation I thought I would break it up into small entries.

With that said, our first day at Disney World we went to Disney Hollywood Studios. So fun! The boys like to watch Playhouse Disney so they enjoyed meeting Leo and Annie from the Little Einsteins. Then we went to a Playhouse Disney show with characters from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, Little Einsteins, and My Friends Tigger and Pooh.

Here is Brandon with the boys at the Playhouse Disney show.
Here are the boys with Mickey Mouse. I thought that Blake would be a little apprehensive about having to get his picture taken with the Disney characters, but he was exactly the opposite. Here you see him mauling Mickey. It was like Mickey was his own personal teddy bear and he wouldn't let go. He did the same with Donald as you will see later.

Porter and Tyler's new obsession is Star Wars. They were so excited when we came to this part of the park. They rode Star Tours and watched the Jedi training show. Porter was a little disappointed that he didn't get picked to participate in the Jedi training, especially when he saw what they got to do. Each kid got to wear a Jedi robe and fight Darth Vader with a light saber. I told him to wave his hands and jump up and down. Eventually he did, but a little too late. I think the guy picked like 3 or 4 kids jumping and waving their hands all around Porter before he figured out that's what your needed to do to be chosen.

Later Porter and Tyler each got light sabers. This was their reward for good behavior for the week. Of all the souvenirs to choose from in all of Disney World this was what they wanted most of all. Now they play with them constantly and sometimes a little too aggressively. They have already been confiscated a few times. Don't be surprised if I wind up in a loony bin from all the Star Wars questions they ask me that I can't answer. Also, I can't believe how many Star Wars characters they know, many of which I didn't even know existed.

We wrapped up this day with a little rain (actually it poured), a couple rides on the Rockin' Roller Coast (AWESOME RIDE), and a little Tower of Terror. Porter was all about riding all the rides he could. He loves roller coasters so he was disappointed he was too short to ride Rockin' Roller Coast but was up for trying the Tower of Terror. I can't believe he went on that. That ride is INSANE. He was glad he tried it but wouldn't go on it again.

Good times! Porter and Tyler can come over here and share in the Star Wars obsession. I can't tell you how many lightsabers are on top of my fridge at any given time.

whew, what a trip. Looks like you guys had tons of fun. I can't wait until Addi is a little bigger and we get to do the Florida adventure.
