Why am I so bad at blogging?

Here are some happening as of the last couple of months for those of you that may have thought we fell off the face of the planet.

Porter had a birthday. I can't believe he is 7! He wanted to have a birthday party but being new to these parts I just wasn't up to it. Then I felt guilty so I planned a surprised party for him. I invited families over instead of just his friends and it was a lot of fun. I wish I had pictures but I was just having too good of a time to take pictures.

Porter and Tyler played baseball and t-ball. I could have sworn I took some pictures but I can't seem to find any of them right now. Once I figure out where they went I'll put them up. They look so cute in their uniforms. Tyler is done with t-ball but Porter's team still has the playoff tournament. Porter was fortunate and was placed on a really good team. They are in first place going in to the tournament. They are so fun the watch.

Porter and Tyler had their first piano recital and they both did so well. Here are some pics for now. I'll have to get Brandon to post some video later.

We finally bought a house and moved in April. I love our house. It has great character... Maybe because it is a little bit older home than what we are used to (20 years). Here are some of my favorite parts of the house.

Some of the updating I have already done includes painting the boys rooms and painting the bathroom cabinets. The cabinets were an ugly oak so I painted them black and put on new hardware. I have a huge long list of DIY projects that I can't wait to get started on but now that school is out for the summer it's a little bit harder.

We are planning to gut this kitchen in a year or so. You can't tell but that oven is the tiniest oven I have ever seen. This kitchen has great potential especially with all the windows and the french doors that lead out to a courtyard as you saw above.
And the wet bar will become a pantry. Right now it is the equivalent to a junk drawer. Stuff just tends to pill up there. I hate it.

And
SCHOOL IS OUT!
I love summer.

So fun to catch up on what you guys are doing! I am so happy you are feeling settled and your house is fabulous. I love the black cabinets.

Fun to hear about your kids' baseball. I think of you when my kids are playing on the field and I have no one to talk to! :)
